I lived near Nagua for a couple of years out in the campo as a Peace Corps Volunteer and know what I'm talking about! And trying to explain laundry in the DR is difficult... :) I always paid a neighbor lady to do mine and she washed my few pieces with the family wash in the river. My first world hands never could survive the laundry in the river and blood on my clothes (from where the skin was rubbed raw) was of no help. :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
