My son bought half a ton of gravel for his driveway in Norway (he had just re-built a forest cabin there) and towed it home from the gravel-pit in a little, light, trailer. Halfway home one of the tyres popped off the rim because the weight was too heavy. That happened twice more before he reached home. I need hardly mention that the replacement tyres cost a whole lot more than the gravel...

I like Chivirico's dream of an ice-cream shop! I am convinced if work doesn't start soon all the sand and gravel will just disappear. Nails are steel 2 inches long and far too long for the plywood so am sure they will need changing too.Lindsayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10032023667222395286noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-652113856727227960.post-32346286469487362642013-10-20T12:09:13.875-04:002013-10-20T12:09:13.875-04:00Good luck with your fancy barbecue and entertainme...Good luck with your fancy barbecue and entertainment area. Sand comes in three different types by the way, you have yellow sand, blue sand and washed sand, and whatever type you buy they always want the other type. And nails come in hundreds of different types, so you'll definitely have bought the wrong ones of those. The trick is that nobody will tell you until they actually start construction, at which point it will become urgent to change the nails / sand / gravel for the right type, and only when you have returned from the shop with the correct type will they then tell you that something else that you bought in that shop also needs to be changed.
