Here it is, my interview on Esta Noche Mariasela, and I hope you enjoy it. Thanks to Jose Lora and all of the production team. It is in Spanish - hopefully I didn't make too many mistakes!
Ellos estaban presos, pero uno tiene una mujer canadiense y ella pago 1000 US$ y los sueltan. Despues ellos matan un Canadiense y uno pago muy caro - con su vida, la policia lo mato, y otra estaba preso otra vez.
The guys who shot me were arrested, but one had a Canadian girlfriend who paid US$1000 and they were released. They then murdered a Canadian old man and were arrested again. The police killed one and the other went to jail.
With my Portuguese I managed to understand 90% of what you said. Lovely interview Lindsay. I was moved when you said that 400 people had visited you in hospital after your shooting, and had you been in the UK you would get flowers, but only 1 or 2 visitors. The Dominicans really are very warm and welcoming people, lucky you!
Great that you managed to understand it with your Portuguese! Yes the Dominicans are incredibly warm and welcoming, especially for three things: when you are in hospital, jail or dead.
I enjoyed the interview, thanks for sharing!
